  • Fog lazily rolls across Lake Champlain and the hills of Port Henry. A grouping of four trees and the faint outline of lampposts marks the Port Henry ore dock, the main public site for viewing the demolition.
  • Two hours and fifteen minutes before the scheduled demolition, last minute preparations are being made on the bridge. The Port Henry Dock is in the foreground.
  • Gulls fly around the lake in front of the Champlain Bridge and Crown Point. Heavy contrast is applied, giving the vingetting in the lower corners and blotting objects in the dock into blacks.
  • The Crown Point end of the Champlain Bridge is featured as gulls fly through the foreground above the Port Henry ore dock.
  • Two lampposts add an eerie effect in the fog on the Port Henry dock in front of the Champlain Bridge. The dock was at one time used to load barges with iron-ore with a short, narrow gauge railroad bringing the ore to be loaded onto the ships.
  • The Village of Port Henry sits atop the hill, the town beach running below. The beach will soon be filled with the cars of on-lookers, hoping to get a glimpse of their landmark as it gets demolished. The building with the clock tower is St. Patrick's Church.
  • One of the last images of the Champlain Bridge before it disappeared into the fog, this view shows Chimney Point, VT and Crown Point, NY connected for one final time as viewed from the pristine and quiet Port Henry docks shortly before it is opened to public viewing.
  • A view of Beach Road in Port Henry, leading to parking for demolition watchers. In the background is St. Patrick's Church.
